Jesus greatness the result of the Person being born and not the place of the announcement from Luke 1:26-27

In Luke 1:26-27 we find that God in His wisdom, sent the angel Gabriel past the land of His original choice the land Judea; He sent Gabriel away from the city that He loved and passed over the temple appointed for His praise In Jerusalem. So much for locality!

I must say that it has been my experience with God that He has often changed the direction of my expectations and I say this in full awareness that it is God who never changes. What this reveals to my dull mind and ignorant heart is that I must keep my eyes on the Author and Finisher of my faith and not upon the direction or expectation!

Now all of those points on the location must have been of great interest to both the writer Luke and his reader Theophilus as that is not the case made in the myths of their Greek upbringing as their fake deities dwelt on great majestic mountains.

The only conclusion Luke is making in light of this is Jesus’ greatness was NOT the result of greatness of the location of His birth but instead on Who He was!
