The beauty of the cross from Roman’s 5:8

There are many times that the “due time” seems to be way overdue! But in Romans 5:8 we read that God’s timing is always perfect as Jesus died at the due time when we recognized that we were sinners who needed a Savior. We may have to wait for hope to be fulfilled but our waiting isn’t absent from His presence, it’s saturated in the presence of His love. He reminds us that since He has acted towards us in love while we were still practicing sin, how much more confident can we be that He will continue to act towards us in love while we are now called His beloved children? While in Paris we have been confronted with many a beautiful church from Notre Dame, to the beautiful stained glass of Sainte-Chapel and Sacré-Cœur Basilica is located at the summit of the butte of Montmartre overlooking Paris but as beautiful as they are they pale in the light of our Lord who died for our sin on a mount called Calvary!
